Reunion Part 2

OK, so August 09 in Maine it is! It seems far off, but as Christina says, it will be here before we know it!

Now, dates and locations. How about the weekend of August 8th and 9th, and should we make it a 3-day weekend, like a Thursday-Sunday or a Friday-Monday?

And location. If anyone has time to research this at all, please do and let me know what you think! I think a few cottages that are really close together (so baby monitors will work between!) on a lake or the coast would be ideal. That way, families will have space, but given naps and bedtimes, we'll still be able to maximize time together. But WHERE?!?

I'm excited already!

Reunion

This is my second post, so don't forget to read my first one below! I wanted to use this as an official place to talk about/set up a little reunion for us! I know we have work schedules, school schedules, reproductive schedules, spouses, newborn babies, and toddlers to contend with, so let's all give our two cents in terms of what would work best. The two things we need to discuss are dates and locations! People have given several suggestions, but my favorite one it to do it right, Maine style! This would work well for many of us in terms of proximity to family, etc. plus it would be a TRUE Bates reunion back where it all began! I am *very* open to any and all suggestions and to be honest I'll make it wherever, whenever because I really want this to happen!

Please reply to this post and let us all know your ideas in terms of location (if we do it in Maine, where/how should we do it? Sara, I know you guys have rented cottages on lakes in the past - do you think that would be a good option?) and timing (especially Christina and Laura because of newborns). Let's all chime in! I'm open in terms of timing since we're not planning on baby #2 just yet... if our reunion is TOO far away I might run in to some problems, but for now I'm wide open! :-)

Welcome!

I have group blogs in a few of my mommy groups and my first thought was that I wanted one for us! I'm hoping we'll use this blog as a "gathering place" that is a bit more personal than group emails to talk about life, jobs, kids, vacations, happy things, sad things, WHATEVER. I've enabled you all as "posters" so you can all start posts and we're all administrators of sorts. The first topic I bring up (in my next post) is going to be about our alternate reunion since all that has been going on in our lives lately has made me want to see you all face to face even more!
